To make healthy ranch hummus, you’ll need the following ingredients: 2 (15-ounce) cans of garbanzo beans (rinsed and drained), 1/2 cup of hulled hemp seeds, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 cup of water, 1/2 cup of lemon juice, 2 to 3 teaspoons of mustard powder, 2 to 3 teaspoons of garlic cloves or 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/4 cup of fresh dill, and 2 tablespoons of distilled white vinegar.
Combine the ingredients in a blender except for the garbanzo beans. Blend until smooth, then add the garbanzo beans. Once again, blend until smooth.
3. Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich
Take 2 slices of whole grain bread and cover them with peanut butter. Sprinkle hemp seeds across the peanut butter.
Add sliced bananas on top and voila! You have a healthy hemp seed sandwich.
4. Hemp Pancakes
Mix 1 cup of whole wheat flour with 1 cup of hemp hearts, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1 teaspoon of salt in a bowl. Then add 4 slightly beaten eggs, 2 tablespoons of honey, 2 tablespoons of vanilla, and 1 cup of water. Whisk in 3 tablespoons of hemp oil afterward.
Pour mixture into a blender and blend until smooth. Add blueberries if you like. Use the mixture to make pancakes on a griddle.
5. Strawberry Hemp Smoothie
You’ll need 3 cups of frozen strawberries, 1/3 cup of hemp hearts, 1 3/4 cup of vanilla almond milk, 1/4 cup of cashew butter, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, and 5 to 7 Medjool dates.
Blend all of the ingredients until smooth. Enjoy.
6. Avocado Toast
First, make your favorite guacamole recipe. Then add guacamole to whole grain toast.
Sprinkle hemp seeds on top of the guacamole. Get all the beneficial fatty acids at once.
7. Vegan Hemp Seed Pesto
Using a food processor or blender, blend 2 1/2 cups of fresh basil, 1 cup of spinach or parsley until fully chopped. Then add 1/4 cup of shelled hemp seeds, 1/4 cup of walnuts, 3 cloves of garlic, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.
While the motor is still running, add 2 tablespoons of hemp oil (or olive oil) and 1/4 cup of flaxseed oil. Blend until your preferred consistency.
8. Hemp Seed Oil Salad Dressing
Put this dressing on top of your salad to receive hemp oil benefits.
Whisk together 1/4 cup of hemp oil, 1/4 cup of whitewater vinegar, 4 chopped cloves of garlic, and 1/8 teaspoon of pepper until well-mixed. Let the mixture sit for an hour so the garlic seeps in.
